Here are some frequently asked questions. We hope that the answers will help you planning your holiday in Finland.

How do I know what cottages are still available?

Our booking calendars (calendar for each cottage is in cottage description page) are kept up to date, but we must always confirm aviability by e-mail, because there may be some pre-bookings.

How can I most easily book a holiday cottage?

Make a prebooking by writing us by e-mail, using our feedback form or just call us. We will answer You as soon as possible and confirm Your booking by e-mail.

What happens once I have booked a cottage?

We will send You all the information by e-mail. Driving instructions and info how to get the key from the cottage will be sent to Your e-mail approximately one week before Your visit.

How do I pay?

With bank transfer by our invoice, which will be sent to You by e-mail. Please, notice, that we do accept cash only in emergency situations.

Will I receive confirmation that payment has been received?

No, we do not separately notify customers that payment has been received. If we do not receive payment, however, we will contact you. If You want to check, if Your money transfer has been arrived, please contact us by e-mail.

When is check-in time? When is check-out time?

You must inform the cottage owner about your time of arrival in advance, especially if You come to the cottage later, than 20.00 in the evening. Check-in time is 16.00 and check-out time is at 12.00 or at 14.00, if You have made a weekend reservation outside the summer season. During the summer weeks, check-in time is 17.00 and check-out time is 11.00.

What if I want to cancel my holiday?

It is possible to get own payment except the prepayment back in some cases. For details, see our rental terms here

What if I leave before the end of my reserved stay? Will I get any money back?

If you cancel your reservation during your stay, payments are not refunded.

What should I take with me?

The cottages have all the tableware and kitchen utensils for preparing and eating food. Electricity and fuel wood are also covered by the rental (if not otherwise mentioned in the cottage description). Cottages are also equipped with “start pack” of toilet paper and paper towels.

Can I also hire bed linen/towels and, if so, how much will this cost?

Yes You can. The cost is 12-15 € per person, the price includes bed linen and towels.
If You want to order bed linen, the order must be placed well in advance.

Can I bring extra persons to the cottage?

No, You can't. Maximum number of persons is informed in the cottage description and the number of persons coming should be agreed when making the reservation. Maximum number of persons per cottage or what is agreed when making the reservation, must not be exceeded. Please, notice that also small children and babies are counted into the total number of persons even if they don't need own bed.

Is there a barbecue at the cottage?

Yes, all our cottages are equipped with bbq. Please, notice that lighting fluid or grill coals are not included in the rent price.

Can I bring pets to the cottage?

Yes, for additional fee. You must inform us about pets in advance.

Will the owner speak English?

Yes, we do speak English.

What must I do at the end of my holiday, do I have to clean the cottage?

You can enjoy your holiday to the full right up to the last day without having to clean the cottage at the end of your stay, because final cleaning is included in all our prices.
Please, notice that You still need to wash the dishes, take the garbage out to the garbage bins and take empty bottles and beverage cans with you or collect them together for example in a plastic bag. If you have moved furniture, please put them in their original places. If you have rented bed linen, please leave them stacked on the top of the bed. Take the foodstuff you have brought, with you or put them in the garbage bin.

I would like to fish in the lake. Do I need to buy fishing permit? 

If you are angling with regular rod (worm), you don't need the fishing permit. If You want to practice another fishing method, please, buy the needed fishing permits beforehand.
